FOREIGN CUSTOM

No matter how much research you do, how many books you read, how many videos\DVDs you watch or how many testimonies you listen to, you’ll only fully understand a foreign custom when you go live with the natives. Eat their local foods, walk with them to collect water, go to their schools, churches, markets and participate in their daily activities.

  1. hi! i found your blog on "love moments love life". this is very true, there is nothing like the "real" thing and being able to visit a place, experience a culture. a couple of years ago, the boyfriend went to a safari, mostly on a photography adventure. we also currently reside in oregon, he is from the east coast and i'm from los angeles.

  2. I have never lived with a native culture like the one you're referring to but I definitely take your word that you really don't know until you've lived there, I definitely believe you. I hope that one day, I get to try it.

  3. Hi This is me, Miss Caitlin S.
I appreciate you stopping by and commenting. Culture has a "power" over those that are immersed in it. I grew up in family where culture was a part of our daily life. Now I understand how important culture has been in my life as I have grown older and intervened in other cultures. Culture plays a huge role in the lives of those who practice it.

I as I arrange and lead tours in Tanzania, I can definitely arrange any cultural adventure to anyone who will be interested in doing that. I know the places, the people and the country.
