The Great Wildebeest Migration
The annual migration of wildebeest and zebras is driven by their search for food and water. This happens every year in the dry season, around May. Wildebeests, Zebras and Gazelles by the thousands move in a gigantic herd, migrating from the southeast part of the park to the greener west and north. They will return again to the south in a clockwise cycle. The “Great Migration” is one of the main attractions that takes place in the Serengeti.
